Roberta, how did the idea of a symbolic marriage with legal value come about?
“I have always believed that love deserves to be celebrated in all its forms. The idea was born from the desire to give a second chance to those who, for various reasons, cannot or do not want to get married again with a civil or religious ceremony. Using the 2016 law on de facto cohabitants, we created a contract that, signed by the spouses and the lawyer, is presented to the municipality of residence, thus ensuring legal protection.”
What are the main characteristics of these marriages?
“These symbolic marriages are very similar to traditional ones, with articles that reflect the rights and duties of the spouses. The difference is in flexibility and customization: we can celebrate anywhere, outdoors, in suggestive locations such as private woods or on board a mini cruise ship along the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento.”
Your ecumenical Christian Catholic church is open to everyone, including divorced and LGBT couples.
How do you reconcile tradition and inclusivity?
“Our church is founded on love and hospitality. We believe that every person has the right to celebrate their love, regardless of their past or sexual orientation. We offer ceremonies with a Christian Catholic formula, but we are open to customizations that respect different sensibilities.”
You also deal with mixed marriages and organize events for tourists. How do you manage the logistics of these events? “For mixed marriages, we collaborate with the ecumenical church to offer double celebrations that respect both religious traditions. For tourists, we organize everything: from accommodation to transfer service, to welcome parties and pre-wedding experiences. Our mini cruise ship is perfect for those who want a unique wedding, sailing among the beauties of the Amalfi Coast and Capri.”
What is your secret to making your clients’ dreams come true, even when they seem impossible?
“There is no dream too big or an insurmountable problem. The key is determination and creativity. I personally take care of all the paperwork and always find the right solution for every need. Nothing is impossible, and my goal is to make every wedding an unforgettable experience.”
